When our founders came to the Napa Valley from France and found the best vineyard land, they saw the unique climate and soil, and considered many grape varieties. Yet after much experimentation, they reconfirmed the superiority of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Pinot Meunier, the traditional varietals of French Champagne.

After 30 years of cultivation we are experts in each sparkling varietal, and fortunate to grow them in three of California's finest appellations: Yountville, Carneros and Mount Veeder. Today we farm 1,000 acres in these appellations and are leaders in sustainable farming. We feel privileged to grow the finest fruit while preserving our environment for future generations.

Join us for a tasting in our vibrant, contemporary Tasting Lounge. The festive and stylish setting is ideal for gathering around the bar, a cocktail table, or shaded patio table to sample our diverse selection of sparkling and still wines by the taste, tasting flight, glass, or bottle. Add breathtaking views, stunning art exhibits, and a wine-friendly appetizer and sandwich menu and you've got every reason to raise a glass and stay awhile.

Winery Reviews

I particularly like champagne. Domaine Chandon is a classic champagne and sparkling wine producer. I have been satisfied with most of the wine I've had from them. My critique is based on the atmosphere of their tasting room in Yountville which caters to a pretentious and pompous crowd. I have been here many times and found that a majority of the tasting room visitors were obnoxious, uneducated about wine, but then still carried attitudes as if they did know what they were talking about.

This has caused me to lower the rating in this review than I normally would because my opinion of Domaine Chandon is lower because they do not seem to do anything to resolve this. It may be that they are actually targeting that market, one flush with deep pockets and a lack of sophistication.

It's too bad too, because their champagne is delicious.
